The NGK 6510 LTR7IX-11 Iridium IX is a one-step-colder performance spark plug designed for modified, turbocharged and high-performance engines.

Featuring NGK’s fine-wire Iridium centre electrode, the LTR7IX-11 provides excellent ignitability and consistent spark performance under demanding operating conditions. Its NGK Heat Range 7 makes it a popular upgrade for engines running increased boost, performance tuning and other power modifications.

For the Mazdaspeed 3 and Mazdaspeed 6 2.3 DISI Turbo, the NGK 6510 is one of the most commonly used one-step-colder plug options for modified vehicles.

IMPORTANT – MAZDASPEED OWNERS

The NGK 6510 comes from NGK with an approximately 1.1 mm (.044”) gap. For modified Mazdaspeed 3/6 applications, this factory gap is generally too large.

The final plug gap should be set according to the vehicle’s modifications, boost level and tuner requirements. A commonly referenced range in the Mazdaspeed community is approximately 0.026”–0.028” (0.66–0.71 mm), but always follow the specification recommended by your tuner for your individual setup.

GAPPED PERFORMANCE TIP:
Running more boost? Don’t overlook your plugs. Correct heat range and plug gap are critical to maintaining a strong, consistent spark under cylinder pressure.
